1. Getting Started
Welcome to Sarisari! This guide will help you understand how to use the app to manage your store efficiently.
Creating Your Account
- Visit the Sarisari website
- Click "Start Free Trial"
- Fill in your personal information (name, email, phone)
- Enter your store name and type
- Create a password (minimum 6 characters)
- Select a security question and answer
- Agree to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- Click "Create Account"
💡 Note: You get a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card required.
Logging In
Click the "Login" button on the top right corner. Enter your email and password. You can check "Remember me" to stay logged in for 30 days.
🔒 Security Tip: Never share your password with anyone. Sarisari stores your password securely using encryption.
2. Dashboard Overview
The dashboard gives you a quick overview of your store's performance.
Key Metrics
- Today's Sales - Total sales for today
- Transactions - Number of sales today
- Products - Total products in your inventory
- Total Receivables - Total utang (credit) owed to you
Recent Transactions
Shows your latest 5 sales transactions with customer name, items, and total amount.
Low Stock Alerts
Products that are running low are listed here. Click "Manage" to restock.
Top Selling Items
Your best-selling products in the last 30 days.
Quick Actions
- New Sale - Start a new sale
- Add Product - Add new product to inventory
- Record Utang - Record a new credit transaction
- Add Customer - Register a new customer
3. Point of Sale (POS)
The POS is where you process sales. It's designed to be fast and easy to use.
Making a Sale
- Click "New Sale" from the dashboard or sidebar
- Add products:
- Scan a barcode using the "Scan Barcode" button, OR
- Search for products by name in the search bar
- Adjust quantities using the +/- buttons
- Add a discount if applicable (percentage or fixed amount)
- Click "Proceed to Payment"
Payment Methods
- Cash - Enter amount received, see change due
- GCash - Mobile wallet payment
- Maya - Mobile wallet payment
- Utang - Credit sale (requires customer selection)
Barcode Scanning
Click "Scan Barcode" and point your camera at the product barcode. The app will automatically detect and add the product to your cart.
📱 Mobile Tip: The app is designed for one-hand use on mobile. The hamburger menu is at the bottom right for easy thumb access.
💡 Quick Cash: Use the quick cash buttons (₱20, ₱50, ₱100, etc.) for faster cash transactions. The "Exact" button automatically enters the exact amount.
4. Inventory Management
Keep track of your products and stock levels.
Adding a Product
- Go to "Inventory" from the sidebar
- Click "Add Product"
- Enter product name (required)
- Optionally add barcode, SKU, category
- Set selling price (required) and cost price
- Set initial stock quantity
- Set minimum stock level for alerts
- Click "Save Product"
Product Categories
Sarisari includes pre-defined categories optimized for sari-sari stores:
- Beverages
- Snacks
- Canned Goods
- Instant Noodles
- Dairy Products
- Rice & Grains
- Household Supplies
- Personal Care

Stock Status
- In Stock - Stock above minimum level
- Low Stock - At or below minimum level
- Out of Stock - Zero stock remaining
Adjusting Stock
Click the inventory icon on any product to adjust stock. You can add stock, remove stock, or set exact quantity.
5. Transactions
View and manage all your sales transactions.
Features
- Search - Find transactions by ID or customer name
- Filter - Filter by payment method or date
- View Details - Click any transaction to see full details
- Export - Download transactions as CSV file
📊 Export Tip: Export transactions regularly to keep backup records for your accounting.
6. Utang (Credit) Management
Track customer credits and payments easily.
Recording Utang
- Go to "Utang" from the sidebar
- Click "Record Utang"
- Select customer
- Enter amount
- Set due date (default: 7 days from today)
- Add notes if needed
- Click "Record Utang"
Recording Payments
Click the payment icon on any active utang to record a payment. You can accept cash, GCash, or Maya.
Utang Status
- Active - No payments made yet
- Partial - Some payments made
- Paid - Fully paid
- Overdue - Past due date
💡 Reminder: The dashboard shows total receivables. Check regularly to follow up on overdue payments.
7. Customer Management
Manage your customers and suki.
Customer Types
- Regular - Standard customer
- Suki - Frequent/loyal customer
- Wholesale - Buys in bulk
Adding a Customer
- Go to "Customers" from the sidebar
- Click "Add Customer"
- Enter name, phone, email (optional)
- Select customer type
- Set credit limit if applicable
- Click "Save Customer"
Walk-In Customers
Sales without a registered customer are automatically tracked as "Walk-In Customer" on the customers page.
8. Reports & Insights
Understand your store's performance with detailed reports.
Available Reports
- Sales Report - Revenue, transactions, payment methods
- Product Report - Top sellers, category breakdown
- Customer Report - Top customers, retention
- Utang Report - Outstanding balances, collections
- Inventory Report - Stock value, low stock alerts
📈 Period Filter: Use the period selector to view data for Today, Yesterday, This Week, This Month, Last Month, This Year, or All Time.

- Go to "Subscription" page
- Review plan details

- Follow instructions to send payment
- Upload payment screenshot
- Wait for verification (usually within 24 hours)
⚠️ Important: Keep your subscription active to maintain access to all features. Expired subscriptions may limit functionality.
10. Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot Password" on the login screen. You'll be asked your security question. Answer correctly to reset your password.
Q: Can I use Sarisari on my phone?
Yes! Sarisari is fully responsive and works on any device with a web browser. The mobile version is optimized for one-hand use with a floating menu button at the bottom right.
Q: How many products can I add?
There's no limit to the number of products you can add. The inventory page supports pagination showing 50 products per page.
Q: Can I export my data?
Yes! You can export transactions and reports as CSV files. This is useful for accounting or backup purposes.
Q: What happens if I forget to record a sale?
You can't edit past sales, but you can record a new sale at any time. For stock corrections, use the "Adjust Stock" feature in Inventory.
Q: How does utang tracking work?
When you make a sale with "Utang" payment method, it automatically creates a credit record for that customer. You can track payments and see remaining balance anytime.
Q: Can I use a barcode scanner?
Yes! Use your phone's camera to scan product barcodes. The app uses the BarcodeDetector API which works on most modern browsers.
Q: Is my data secure?
Yes. Passwords are encrypted, sessions are secure, and all database queries use prepared statements to prevent SQL injection.
Q: What are the categories available?
Categories include Beverages, Snacks, Canned Goods, Instant Noodles, Dairy, Rice & Grains, Household Supplies, Personal Care, Baby Care, Health & Wellness, and more.
Q: How do I track walk-in customers?
Sales without a registered customer are automatically grouped under "Walk-In Customer" on the Customers page. You don't need to do anything special.
Q: Can I use Sarisari without internet?
No, Sarisari requires an internet connection as it's a web-based application that stores data in the cloud.
